Golf Australia Express : Issue 10
IT’S FAIR to say Anna Rawson is more known for her work in high heels than she is when wearing golf spikes. Using her classic ‘good looks’ to earn lucrative modelling and endorsement contracts, this Adelaide-born beauty has earned a successful career off the course. The 178cm bombshell first came to notice at as a finalist in a Dolly cover contest at 16. It opened her to modelling opportunities on the catwalk, in print ads, magazines and television. And in 2008 she became the spokeswoman and assistant creative director for the J.Lindeberg women’s golf line. Yet to win on Tour, Rawson’s achievements on the course have captured less attention. She did steam ahead to lead the 2009 Canadian Open after shooting a course-record 64 in the first round before falling away, and in another hot performance she finished second at the 2007 Ladies Swiss Open. But to date, Rawson’s game has proven a tad raw. LIST THE ANNA RAWSON Born 5 August, 1981
