PAULA CREAMER MARIA HJORTH WORLD RANKING: 21 5TH SOLHEIM CUP (RECORD: 5W, 6L, 5 HALVES) WORLD RANKING: 8 4TH SOLHEIM CUP (RECORD: 8W, 2L, 4 HALVES) PAUL CREAMER is a Solheim Cup specialist. In three appearances, the 25-year-old has played 14 matches for eight wins, two losses and four halved matches. The Pink Panther has the second best winning percentage of players who’ve played at least five matches. Undefeated in singles matches, she’s claimed scalps the likes of Laura Davies, Maria Hjorth and Suzann Pettersen. Her 7&5 win over Davies in her debut singles match at just 19 was a startling achievement. Now an experienced player, Creamer’s a real key for the Yanks. MARIA HJORTH returns for her fifth Solheim Cup. The 37-year-old Swede qualified to play after consistent 2010 and ’11 seasons. The highlights included wins at the 2010 LPGA Tour Championship and at the 2011 Avnet LPGA Classic. Hjorth is a 15-year tour veteran renowned for bombing it long off the tee. She ranks second in average driving distances on the LPGA this season. With 5 wins and 6 loses in Solheim Cup to date, this touring mum will be wanting to clean up her win/loss ratio at Killeen Castle this week. NUMBER RANKS 5
